



Hannes Wettstein Exhibition

A retrospective exhibition is to be held in memory of Swiss industrial designer Hannes Wettstein (1958-2008), in which his most important and influential works will be shown. The opening event of the exhibition “Hannes Wettstein, 1958-2008” will take place at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH) on 6 October 2011 at 6:00pm. In addition, designs by Hannes Wettstein will be shown at eight Zürich city centre locations.
In addition, designs by Hannes Wettstein will be shown at eight Zürich city centre locations and a commemorative monograph will be published by Lars Müller Publishers, entitled Hannes Wettstein — Seeking Archetypes.
Hannes Wettstein is regarded as a designer who translated his ideas into timeless designs. The products he designed radiate purity, quality and functionality. Wettstein designed several products for Pastoe, including the Travé (1999) and Block (1999) tables and the Roots (1997) and Aera (2000) sofas.
