These orginal Pastoe chairs were designed around the 1950's by Cees Braakman, at that time head designer of the Pastoe factory and trailblazer of the Dutch design movement. He was strongly influenced by the international modern style movement. He experimented with new materials in furniture, like steel. The FM03 and Wire collection are a great example of minimalistic use of materials in interior design.
The current Pastoe team wants to explore our rich past of design. We relaunched the FM03 and Wire Collection.
The Pastoe Wire collection was designed in 1953 by Cees Braakman and Adriaan Dekker. The chair has been adapted to fit the seating demand of this generation.
